Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2023, 59 (6): 1003-1010.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2023.091

The anaerobic ammonia oxidation (anammox) consortia were incubated at 5℃ to explore the nitrogen removal performance of the recovered anammox bacteria at 10–15℃. The results showed that after 92 days of low temperature incubation, the nitrogen removal rate of anammox bacteria reached 225±25 mg N/(L·d) at 12±1℃, which reached 68% of the nitrogen removal rate at 22±1℃. It was significantly higher than previous research results. 16S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing was used to analyze the microbial composition in the reactor. Low temperature incubation had significant impact on the microbial community, especially for anammox bacteria. Candidatus_Kuenenia, as typical anammox bacteria, have a higher adaptability to low temperature than Candidatus_Brocadia and Candidatus_Jettenia, thus dominated the microbial community. The increased abundance and low-temperature metabolic capacity of Candidatus Kuenenia after low temperature incubation play an important
role in improving the nitrogen removal performance of anammox reactor at 10–15℃.

ZHOU Yufei, YANG Jiawen, ZHOU Jiangping, ZHOU Peiling, LIU Haitao
Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2020, 56 (5): 875-883.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2020.054
Abstract1172)   HTML    PDF(pc) (3189KB)(284)       Save
Taking Shenzhen subway as an example, we use Baidu Heat Map to construct a system to evaluate vitality of station service area through heat average and heat coefficient of variation. Station service area, which accounts for 15% of Shenzhen municipal area, has 38%~50% of the city population from 7:00 to 23:00, less population gather at night and more during daytime. The 166 service areas can be classified into four groups: lowbalance mature areas, low-balance developing areas, high-balance mature areas and high-balance developing areas. Their vitality characteristics are quite relevant to built environment. Mature areas have higher development density. High-balance areas have higher land use mixture. Station service areas with large-scale urban village are more likely to show high-balance. The evaluation can be beneficial to adopting available strategies for different types of station service area, and shed light on trancit oriented development (TOD) planning and design.

Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2018, 54 (4): 792-800.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2018.010
Abstract707)   HTML    PDF(pc) (8445KB)(134)       Save

In order to reveal the dynamic characteristics of the forest in Bashang area of Hebei Province, MODIS reflectivity and NDVI data with a spatial resolution of 250 m were used for forest classification, and a Thematic Mapper (TM) image in 2005 was resorted to aid training sample selection. With Random Forest Algorithm and time series of MODIS images, the forest in Bashang area was monitored from 2000 to 2015 in every two years. Compared with widely used classifiers such as maximum likelihood classifier and BP artificial neural network algorithm, Random Forest classifier showed the best performance with its overall accuracy and Kappa coefficient being 91.89% and 0.88 respectively. Binary coding was applied to the eight phases of forest distribution images, which can easily and rapidly reflect the changing trajectory from phase to phase. It showed that the severe forest changes mainly occurred in counties of Fengning, Weichang, Zhangbei and Guyuan during the years of 2000, 2010, and 2013.

Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2018, 54 (2): 271-278.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2017.156

After analyzing the characteristics of different types of sports events, the authors propose an automatic writing method for football tournament with real-time data as data source for the first time. The real-time data is automatically annotated according to historical news, and the training set is obtained. After annotation the real-time data is modeled by convolution neural network (CNN) to automatically identify the key events in real-time data. Events in structured information are transformed into news style natural language. Experiments show that the proposed method works better than other methods, and the content is more detailed and can be easily extended to the automatic writing of other sports games.

Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis    2018, 54 (1): 181-188.   DOI: 10.13209/j.0479-8023.2017.132
Abstract1074)   HTML18)    PDF(pc) (642KB)(409)       Save

The authors systematically identify and classify land use functions based on the system theory, and then construct the multi-scale and multi-level evaluation index system of land use functions from three aspects of economy, society and ecology from the perspective of patch scale. A preliminary attempt is made to obtain and spatialize index data. The results show that land use functions has multiple levels and regional characteristics, corresponding classification and evaluation index system should be established according to different regional background and research scale. Land use functions are related to land use structures, and its evaluation scale is extended to the micro-scale, which is helpful to expand the scope and enrich content of the study of land use functions.

Abstract591)            Save
The organic bentonites were prepared with the low-level Ca-bentonites obtained from Jianping, Liaoning province. By means of orthogonal experiment, the optimal conditions of organic bentonites preparation are 20 g natural bentonite, 6.25 g CTMAB, 150 mL water, stirring time 3 hours, and standing time 2 days. XRD shows d(001) value of modified bentonite has increased from 1.5286 nm to 2.1567 nm, TG-DTA, and FT-IR prove organic modifiers have entered into the interlayers of the bentonites. A hydrophobic and lipophilic analysis of the modified bentonites was made. By one time modified technics, the traditional technics of organoclay preparation only by cation exchange reaction of Na-montorillonite with quaternary ammonium salt organic cation (HDTMA) are innovated and the cost of the organoclay preparation is greatly reduced.

Abstract979)            Save
Light microtechnique and SA-β-galactosidase method was used to study the effects of super-high-concentration of glucose on the senescence of human diploid fibroblast 2BS cells, ROS and the membrane potential of mitochondria during this process were measured. Our results showed that 200 mmol/L of glucose inhibited the growth of 2BS cells, led to the changes of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential, and caused senescence of 2BS cells rapidly. It supports the hypothesis of oxidative damage of senescence. Moreover it is a better system for the study of the effects of ROS during the process of replicative senescence.

Abstract639)            Save
HLA-G1, which is a newly defined non-classical HLA class I molecule, plays an important role in mediating immunotolerance and protecting embryo and even some kinds of tumors from NK cells attacking. The full-length coding sequences containing cDNA of HLA-G1 were cloned from placenta, monocytes and liver cancer tissue of Chinese donors. Sequence analysis reveals that it is a highly conserved human gene with only two amino acid mutation sites compared to foreign nationality. Its truncated form was overexpressed in E.Coli and the recombinant proteins were purified with affinity chromatography. We predict its possible three-dimensional structure and interaction with specific receptor KIR2DL4 by knowledge-based computer modeling.
